It applies to nutrigroupcare.com and the membership services described on it.

Device, browser type, pages viewed and approximate location derived from IP address, used for security and to improve the website.

3. Health Information & HIPAA

We operate HIPAA-conscious by design. Protected health information (PHI) shared with our clinical team is used only for treatment, payment and healthcare operations, is transmitted encrypted in transit and at rest where technically feasible, and is never sold or used for advertising. Where we work with third-party laboratories or specialists, they are bound by written confidentiality and business-associate obligations.

Our website forms are intended for general enquiries and scheduling, not for transmitting detailed medical records. Please avoid sending sensitive diagnoses through the public contact form; your care team will collect clinical details through secure channels.

4. How We Share Information

With your care team — clinicians, dietitians and coordinators assigned to you.
With service providers — email delivery, scheduling, payment processing and hosting vendors, each limited to the information necessary to perform their function.
With laboratories & specialists — only as directed by your care plan or with your authorization.
As required by law — court orders, public-health reporting or other legally compelled disclosures.

We never sell, rent or trade your personal information to third parties for their own marketing.

5. Data Retention

We retain contact and enquiry records for up to 24 months unless a membership relationship exists. Clinical records are retained according to Rhode Island medical-record retention requirements and professional standards. Newsletter data is deleted immediately upon unsubscribe confirmation.

6. Cookies & Analytics

We use only functional cookies necessary for the website to operate (for example, remembering form states) and privacy-respecting, aggregate analytics to understand which pages help visitors most. We do not run cross-site advertising trackers. You may block cookies in your browser; the site will continue to function.

We apply industry-standard safeguards: TLS encryption for data in transit, access controls on a need-to-know basis, staff privacy training and routine reviews of our vendors. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach ever affects your information, we will notify you and regulators as required by law.

Our website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent. Pediatric and family care delivered under a family membership is managed directly by the clinical team with guardian consent.
